Villa Britannia stands next to the Villa  where the famous writer D.H Lawrence lived for over 7 years and Truman Capote for 1 year . Both D.H. Lawrence and Trumane Capote were fascinated and charmed by the Villa’s Garden that they referenced them various times in their autobiographies and novels.

In Villa Britannia’s garden not only can you see a wide selection of Italian and Sicilian plants  but there was also a roman tomb, which you can see and visit when working through the Villa Britannia Gardens.

You are able to rent Villa Britannia in 2 different ways as a superior guesthouse  renting per room or as a Private exclusive Villa having the entire structure at your use . Below are the differences between each rental.

Superior guesthouse 

**   Renting as a guesthouse you share the use with only 2  other customers that are lodging in Villa Britannia . So the lounge, gardens , and all outside areas are shared between a small number of people .   The  kitchen is for staff use only  but you  have access 24/7 to make tea and coffee and your own  private space in Villa Britannia’s fridge.

The villa offers full organic continental and organic Sicilian breakfast starting from 7- 10 am which will be held on the large main terrace with sea

view . The breakfast includes fresh warm croissants, homemade marmalades, crostata, cereals, muesli, white yogurt, fresh fruit and toast . We will ask you what drinks you would like a selection of tea, cappuccino, cafe latte , Americanao coffee or espresso.

Within the Villa Britannia  throughout the week we also organise pre dinner drinks (aperitivos) from 19.00 -20.30 . We have a list of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks served with bruschettas and finger food.

In each room : Air conditioning / personal safe /controlled heating system / large ensuite shower room.

D.H Lawrence Suite – Sleeps 3 Max – with Double bed and  Sofa bed. 2 balconies looking over the sea and garden views.

Truman Capote Suite : Sleeps 2 Max – Has 1 large terrace with outdoor furniture and views over sea .
On special order we can arrange a Sicilian dinner night , cooked by one of Taormina’s professional private chef and meals can be held within the villa’s garden and terrace .  It’s a great way to meet the people staying at the Villa and get to know the property owners and friends.

Villa Britannia organized various actives again on request including Sicilian cooking lessons in the Villas kitchen,  water-colour and acrylic painting courses held in the gardens, yoga lessons in the morning or at sunset and Shaistu treatment.

The price in nightly price  includes :

 * Wifi Access throughout the villa and on terrace .

Private Exclusive Villa 

If you would prefer to have the the Villa privately yours and wish to indulge within the Villa and

feel like home this is also available. We would

 welcome you on arrival and explain all features and functions of the Villa and are at your assistance any time.

** Self catering villa and your private and  exclusive use.  The  cleaner will come on a daily bases (except Sundays ) to do a general clean at the best suitable time for you.
